James Christopher http://lowproaudio.com DJ James Christopher a.k.a Chris Lacek, got his start in Atlanta GA with Glen Goodhand, producing 'ESP 101 (a.k.a the Pyramid, the Church), Atlanta's original rave weekly. A resident DJ at Atlanta's D n B weekly "Sessions," Chris moved to San Francisco in the winter of 2000. Since then he has founded the Lowpro Lounge and performed with members of Sound Tribe Sector 9, the Santa Cruz Hemp All Stars, and Particle. Chris's Drum n Bass band Rootscience features Z. Velmer and D. Murphy of Sector 9 and SF diva Audio Angel. His other projects include ZIN, Camp, and Warondrums.
J.Tonal http://jtonal.com Jeff Wareham is a Bay Area producer and Lowpro Lounge co-founder. He started his music career in New York City producing tracks for Sire Records and Columbia NY. After performing and producing shows at such venues as the Nuyorican in NYC, the Middle East in Boston, and the Royal Oak Ballroom in Detroit, J.Tonal moved to San Francisco and continued to perform music and do graphic design for the SF Bay Guardian newspaper. He has played with such notable musicians as DJ Shadow, Tino Corps., and TV Sheriff as well as headlining shows at the Boom Boom Room, Studio Z, Club Milk, the Rawhide, and many other venues across the Bay Area.
Ancient Technologies http://ancienttech.com Ancient Technologies hails from Sacramento CA, and is one of the premier examples of electronic / acoustic fusion in Northern California. Recently they have begun building a following in SF at Lowpro Lounge for their hot Live-PA show. Performing new school roots music, their set features trumpet, keys, digeridoo, and sampler. They mix a wide variety of analog and digital devices to create very captivating Live-PA nu skool dub.
BLVD http://blvdtrio.com An airtight threepiece of guitar, bass, and drums, BLVD blazes a fiery trail through the hills and valleys of an evolving improvisational soundscape. This young band's uncanny precision, lightning-quick timing, and jam-friendly intuition come together to create some of the most infectious organic electronica to ever take over a dancefloor.
Parc Ranger http://lowproaudio.com Zach Kowall a.k.a. Parc Ranger is resident DJ and image consultant for Boston's Club Middlesex. Hailing from Cambridge, MA, he develops experimental hip-hop tracks exclusively for play by Lowpro Lounge residents and for the Lowpro websites. He is quoted as saying: "In the winter I usually go into hibernation mode and make loftier, more aloof, and introspective sounding stuff and in the summer I try to make shit that will make girls take their shirts off."
Citizen Ten http://lowproaudio.com Citizen Ten is a rare breed. Working as a DJ-producer, his style of hard downtempo music is some of the illest we've heard. He spins rare groove mixes, classic breaks sets, and hiphop. Also know as the galactic hiphop producer Mr. Smith, his beats are loved throughout the solar system.
Majitope http://lowproaudio.com An amazing all-around DJ/producer, Majitope rocks both live-PA ambient sets featuring original material, as well as house dj sets. His ultra-smooth blending of house with breaks influence and tracks with a distinctly musical energy leave everyone on the dancefloor with big smiles.
Brizzle http://lowproaudio.com An integral member of the Lowpro Lounge production team, Brizzle is poised to blow up the spot with his crunked out, blunted-on-haight-street body-rockin shit. He styles out the live-PA with some freaked out rhythms, and also plays DJ sets characterized by smooth strings and piano melodies laced on top of broken beats.
