| 4/19/04 Big up to Twittering Machine for bringing home the title belt from the 2004 SF Laptop Battle. The competition was steep and it was sticky in the basement of Club Six, but T.Machine kept bringing it hard with sick beats, expertly produced sounds, and some live performance tricks that far outshone the rest of the pack. His 3-minute battles electrified the crowd with elements ranging from the irreverent (he began with a tiffany remix) to the intense, (he battered his laptop like a master behind a grand piano.) One emotional moment occurred when, after attacking his keyboard in a flurry of hard percussive improv to finish round two, Twittering Machine picked up his busted shift key off the floor and raised it above his head in triumph before the screaming audience and judges. As winner of the Northern California Regional, T.Machine has been asked to compete in the National Laptop battle in Seattle. Lowpro Lounge represent.
